As we entered the convention, we were met by attendees dressed as their favorite dinosaurs, a whimsical sight that truly brought the event to life. Booths showcased various species from the diplodocus to the stegosaurus, each contributing to the festivity. While we were eager to snag some T-Rex merchandise, the lines proved too long. Surprisingly, the atmosphere was far more engaging than we had ever imagined. Culinary offerings were equally creative and intriguing, with treats like dinosaur egg-shaped Jell-O, lava cakes, and asteroid cookies (we couldn’t help but feel the last option was a tad insensitive). However, one peculiar observation stood out: despite numerous fans pledging loyalty to the dino kingdom, not a single Dilophosaurus made an appearance! Attendees shared that replicating the distinctive hood and double crests was no easy feat, leading to their absence.
